A US judge ruled in favor of Sony in a patent infringement lawsuit regarding communication technology in PlayStation consoles and controllers. Genuine Enabling Technology (GET) claimed Sony infringed on their patent, but the judge granted Sony’s request for summary judgment of non-infringement. GET had previously filed a similar lawsuit against Nintendo, which was reversed by the US Court of Appeals in 2022.
