LeBron James achieves milestone with yet another 40-point performance, tying him with Michael Jordan for an impressive record.
LeBron James scored 40 points in the Lakers’ win against the Brooklyn Nets. He is only the second player in NBA history to score multiple games of 40 points or more after turning 39 years old, with Michael Jordan being the other. James went 13-for-17 from the floor and made 9 out of 10 3-pointers, tying his career high. His improved 3-point shooting is a result of adapting to the changing dynamics of the league. The Lakers are currently 3-1 on their road trip and James’ 3-point percentage for the season is 41.6%, the best of his career. Despite his success, James acknowledged that he is nearing the end of his career and doesn’t plan to play for much longer.
