Scott Barlow from the Guardians had a rough start to the season with some sloppy performances.

In a recent game against the Athletics, Barlow took the loss after allowing a run on two hits and a walk over one-plus innings, striking out one. He had a perfect eighth inning but struggled in the ninth, allowing three straight baserunners to start the inning. Barlow is projected to be a setup man for closer Emmanuel Clase, but his early season struggles may put that role in jeopardy.

Barlow has allowed two runs and walked three batters over two innings to start the season, raising concerns about his performance. He could potentially lose his setup man role if he doesn’t improve quickly. Eli Morgan and Nick Sandlin are other experienced relievers who could be considered for high-leverage work in the bullpen.
