Trump reportedly paid the mortgage of slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller in a gesture of support.

– Donald Trump did not pay off the mortgage of NYPD officer Jonathan Diller who was killed in the line of duty, the mortgage was paid by the nonprofit organization Tunnel to Towers.
– The claim that Trump paid off the mortgage originated from a social media post by Professor Patriot on Telegram, which was then spread to other platforms like Facebook.
– Tunnel to Towers announced on March 28, 2024 that they would be paying off Diller’s mortgage, refuting the claim that Trump was involved.
– Trump attended Diller’s wake on March 29, 2024, where the claim was repeated by host David Zere on Steve Bannon’s show, but Zere later walked back the claim on social media.
– Trump’s campaign spokesperson did not respond to requests for comment on the matter, and Tunnel to Towers denied any communication with Trump regarding Diller’s mortgage.
– The claim that Trump personally paid off the mortgage is considered false as he never claimed responsibility for the donation and Tunnel to Towers denied his involvement.
