A two-time NBA champion who spent 16 seasons playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers has announced his retirement.
Two-time NBA champion Rajon Rondo announced his retirement from the league after 16 seasons on a podcast episode of “All The Smoke” hosted by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.
Rondo stated that he is retiring from the NBA to spend more time with his kids and reflected on his career, emphasizing the importance of discipline and sacrifice in achieving his goals.
Throughout his career, Rondo played for teams such as the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, and Cleveland Cavaliers, and was known for his defensive prowess, elite playmaking ability, and accomplishments such as being a four-time NBA All-Star and leading the league in assists three times. He averaged 9.8 points, 7.9 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game across 957 career games.
